Southern Cove Pioneer Reunion Features Old-Time Farm Equipment LINDA WILLIAMS Bedford Co. Correspondent NEW ENTERPRISE (Bedford Co.) The thousands of steam engine enthusiasts who attended this year’s Southern Cove reun ion were pleased to find a new lo cation that was both larger and more comfortable. The woods provide shade for picnic tables and exhib itors. “I can’t begin to tell you how much volunteer effort has gone into the success of getting the ground ready for this year’s event,” Link said. “The wooded ground was cleaned up, time, labor, and ma terials were donated in building a road to the reunion site, a 28x36-foot building was erected. That event is always held the same Saturday as fishing season begins. “Our long term goal is to have a permanent museum,” Tom em phasizes.
