The U.S. Department of Agriculture this week issued two new publi cations designed to help agricul tural producers market their products directly to consumers. USDA’s Agricultural Market ing Service has published a new edition of its 1998 publication, the “Farmer Direct Marketing Bibliography.” The 2001 edition contains more than 70 new en tries and three new categories of published information - Farm to School, Internet Marketing, and Appropriate Technology Trans fer for Rural Areas. The bibliog raphy contains references from numerous sources including pri vate industry, academia, and state and federal governments.
