Daily National Grain Market Summary St. Joseph, MO May 9,2001 Report Supplied By USDA Daily National Grain Market Sum mary Grains and soybean bids were lower in dull trading as traders anticipate tomor row’s USDA reports. Profit taking was seen across the Boards today. Wheat 1 to 3 cents lower. Corn steady. Sorghum steady. Soybeans 1 to 2 cents lower. Slow export sales this week for all commodities, just light orders here and there. Most traders are waiting for to morrow’s USDA reports. Corn planting is just over half way competed with rainfall delaying progress in several Midwest areas. However, it is still too early to begin worrying. More rain is expected in the Midwest and should hit dry areas in the east. This would aid germination and therefore offer pressure to bids.
