    Daily National
Grain Market
Summary
St. Joseph, MO
May 9,2001
Report Supplied By USDA
Daily National Grain Market Sum
mary
Grains and soybean bids were lower in
dull trading as traders anticipate tomor
row’s USDA reports. Profit taking was
seen across the Boards today.
Wheat 1 to 3 cents lower. Corn steady.
Sorghum steady. Soybeans 1 to 2 cents
lower.
Slow export sales this week for all
commodities, just light orders here and
there. Most traders are waiting for to
morrow’s USDA reports.
Corn planting is just over half way
competed with rainfall delaying progress
in several Midwest areas. However, it is
still too early to begin worrying. More
rain is expected in the Midwest and
should hit dry areas in the east. This
would aid germination and therefore
offer pressure to bids.

Advantages
• simple assembly of 3 to 8 tiers;
• feed troughs are mounted on
supports for trough stability and
long service life;
• feed trough with inner rim provides
minimal feed losses;
• upper walkway for batteries with
more than 5 tiers = easy bird
control;
• better thermal economy (reduced
heating expenses and reduced
investment costs per bird) is
achieved with systems of 4 or
more tiers due to increased
density;
• remarkably low bird mortality
during rearing.
