Corn mixed 2 cents lower to 3 cents higher Sorghum 1 cent higher Soybeans 6 to 9 cents higher. Wheat bids mostly lower as lack of fresh news to weigh on bids today. Bulk supply of stockers and calves are weaned with many in thin condition. Quality av erage to attractive, end plain. Weigh-ups average to gaunt, few full. Receipts have been extremely light as poor wheat graz ing season has many cattle already placed into growing lots or feedlots. Wheat growth is just beginning to make progress non-the-less feeder cattle supply is expected to continue light for some time. Slaughter cows and bulls 2.00 higher with very good packer demand. Total of 435 cows and bulls sold with 45 percent going to packers. Special stock cow sale to be held Thursday, March 15, 2001. Receipts this week 5650; last week 6692; last year 13,291. Supply consisted of 62 percent year lings over 600 lbs; 30 percent calves and light yearlings under 600 lbs; 8 percent cows and bulls. Heifers comprised 37 percent of feeder and calf supply.
