Bob Clowney, a Mount Joy Township daily farmer, re ceived the Penn State Nittany Lion Service Award here during the recent 85th annual Penn State Cooperative Extension meeting. Clowney was recognized for his two terms of dedicated serv ice with the board of directors of the Adams County extension. The extension recognized four county residents for the leader ship in building the Adams County Agricultural and Natural Resources Center in Gettysburg. Recipients were Ken Reinhart, Gettysburg; Stanley Wolf, Get tysburg; Faith Peterson, Abbotts town; and Alan Zepp, New Ox ford, New board members were also selected. They include Roes Pifer, Peggy Bear, Jaylenc Hess, Kathy Nelson-Small, and Janet Wil liams. Vegetables Targeted For Purchase WASHINGTON, D.C. On Thursday, the USDA announced to the agricultural industry the target list of fruits and vegetables it will purchase in the coming months to bring relief to farmers burdened with critical surpluses and depressed market prices.
