Daily National Grain Market Summary St. Joseph, MO Wed May 03,2000 USDA-MO Dept Ag Market News Daily National Grain Market Sum mary Drought concerns continues to be the major factor for higher grain and soy bean bids Wheat 2 to 6 cents higher. Corn 2 to 7 cents higher. Sorghum 8 cents higher. Soybeans 6 to 7 cents higher. Spring planting for all commodities is underway and dry weather fore- casts are driving grain and bean bids moderately to sharply higher. Some hope for scattered moisture has been forecast for this weekend in the Midwest. However, traders worry it will not be widespread enough to ease concerns. Active fund buying was also noted in corn pits today. Export sales continue slow this week, despite Egypt’s substan tial overnight wheat purchase and Taiwan’s soybean order.
