Wheat mostly steady to 2 cents lower, except Minneapo lis 11 cents lower. Com 3to 6 cents higher. Sorghum 6 to 9 cents higher. Soybeans 3 to 6 cents higher. Delayed wheat plantings up north were not as serious as first thought and prices lower up there. Harvest getting underway for Winter Wheat down south and prices a little lower. Few export announcements this week, but nothing to big. China's wheat production estimated increased substantially and this a negative price factor. Good export announcements for com today. New crop com was up only slightly. Crops looking good and many places already covering the ground and this will slow drying out in case of hot dry weather. A couple of more rains next month and this year’s crop will be large. New crop com on the Board at a 10 cent premium to current quotes, but most eleva tors have a minus IS basis compared to 10-12 cent current basis. Soybean export announcements short this week and year to date delivery inspections ate far behind a year ago. Planting is pretty well finished for this year, but there is still time for put ting in late beans. New crop quotes on the Board only S cent above current Elevator and processor basis not too far from option for current cash bids, but a 25 discount for new crop.
