JOSEPH, MO MAY 21, 1997 Very good export sales for wheat overnight pushed wheat bids higher. Com and soybean bidi moved higher due to trade corrections after Tuesday's sharp declines. Wheat 1 to 9 cents higher. Com 1 to 3 cents higher. Sorghum 1 to 3 cents higher. Soybeans 2 to 6 cents higher. Egypt’s substantial overnight purchase of US SRW offered some support to wheat bids. However, the bearish weather fore cast for hard red winter wheat areas as well as spring wheat crops, limited gains. Com and soybean bids were slightly higher as a corrective manuver following sharp declines on Tuesday. Some fund buying was noted on the board, especially for soybeans. Soybean meal demand was about steady. U.S. Export Sales: Purchaser Commodity Tannage Del date Egypt Soft Red Winter Wheat 400,000 Jun/Jul Totals: Wheat 400,000 tonnes.
