To date more than 200 farm totally 14,000 acres are on the waiting list. In 1998, the pre serve board will be required to use a ranking system when selecting farms to preserve with state monies. W 97 high. “Confidence from the public has grown since the Ag Preserve Board was established in 1980 and the Farmland Trust in 1988,” Stouffer said. “We have had tremendous increasing support from agribusiness.” This support enabled the Trust to preserve more farms and exceed the funding of last year’s goal. Both organizations will continue working in the same direction characterized by closely working together. In the past, joint board meetings of both preservation organizations met annually. But, Stouffer said that they plan to conduct smaller meetings several times throughout the year to focus on strategies. ssnMSL Becky grew up on a 61-cow dairy farm as well as worked on various farms during her college years which gave her a mix of dif ferent situations which in return prepared her for a role as a Pa. DHIA technician. Since the age of nine, Becky has been a member of several 4-H clubs which included dairy as well as other pertinent clubs. When asked what she likes most about being a Pa.
