Lancaster County Tobacco Show Jan. LANCASTER (Lancaster Co.) The 1997 Annual County Tobacco Show will be held on Tuesday, January 7, at the Lancas ter County Farm and Home Center. The show will have classes for vocational agriculture students and for other tobacco growers. Vocational agriculture students who have tobacco they would like to exhibit may enter their exhibits Lab Receives Perfect Score Every year, all DHIA Milk Analysis Laboratories undergo a rigorous inspection by the Nation al DHIA Quality Certification staff. National DHIA QC rates such areas as the condition of the facilities, laboratory safety, and staff training. In addition, they look at how the lab performs on the monthly unknown samples for the Infra-red analyzers and the Somatic Cell counters (a process where the milk lab machines ana lyze unknowns to determine how accurate their readings are), and they evaluate internal documenta tion which includes instrument calibrations and pre-calibration procedures. Traditionally one of the highest rated milk labs in the country, the northeast DHIA milk lab this year received a perfect score of 100/100. In a letter to milk lab manager John Malaney, National DHIA Director of Operations, Paul Miller writes “Please accept my personal congratulations for a job well dpne and extend my congratulations to your staff...
