The sixth an nual event focuse on making the world a better place. Wightstown 4-H Club members dressed in Halloween costumes, visited with residents of the Buck ingham Valley Nursing Home, provided a petting zoo for the event, and delivered a craft item for each resident. Building bird houses and bird feeders for are group homes was the service project for Hilltown 4-H Club. Group home residents will maintain the feeders during the winter. The Langhome Clovers 4-H Club is making 10 Thanksgiving centerpieces for the residents of Attleboro Nursing Home. Dougherty, daughter of John and Allice Dougherty, is a senior at Central Bucks East High School. She is a member of Buck ingham 4-H Club, National Honor Society, and runs cross country and track. With another 4-H member. Kaminski is developing a computer Internet home page for puppy raisers. He is learning to fly a single engine plane, plays on a neighborhood basketball team, and has received an award from the Presidential National Physical Fitness Pro garm. He is home schooled. Kaminski serves as a counselor for the 4-H Seeing Eye Puppy Camp this summer. He tutors an other child in computer skills and serves as a teen leader in his 4-H Club. Three outstanding 4-H mem bers received the Bucks County 4-H Clover Award at the recent 4-H Achievement Night. Earning the 1996 top 4-H county award were Jason Smedberg, Chalfont; Ed Buckman, Perkasie; and Lore Ferguson, Quakertown. The Clov er Award recognizes outstanding citizenship, leadership, and achievement. Smedberg, son of James and Immogene Smedberg, is president of Hilltown 4-H Club, and a junior in a home school program. Ferguson, daughter of Jim and Bonnie Ferguson, is a junior in a home school program. She has completed several 4-H hone proj ects and a 4-H veterinary science project. She is a teen leader in the Spun N Bum 4-H Hone and Pony Club. Ferguson teaches honeback riding to younger chil dren, baby-sits, and provides ser vice to a local mining home.
