VA 22801 540-434-4601 ® Trademark of Ralston Purina Company ration stands with his delivery truck that serves farm irs of the Brookland Mills at McVeytown in Mifflin County. OOKLAND MILL Since an arsonist destroyed the Brookland Mill at the McVeytown Purina dealership, Jim Stauffer, general manager, and his family and friends who own the mill have been warehousing feed at a new location just across the Juniata River south of the center of town. Their service to customers has continued uninterrupt ed by trucking both bulk and bagged feed from the Camp Hill facility direct ly to their many dairy and other farm customers Their home facility in Mifflin County, along with a branch at Richfield in Snyder County, serve customers in Mifflin, Juniata, Snyder, Union, and into Huntingdon Counties. The dealership has stead ily grown since the 1980 s. As in oth er areas, there is a push for farmers to increase herd size for a better return on their investment. But the small farm with family help that can ‘ kii work together also has a good chance to survive. Jim believes that the industry’s leaders of tomorrow will be those that adapt to the changing econom ic environment, search for best val ue, and maximize their return on investment. As for Purina feeds, Jim believes you get more performance than with other feeds. Purina provides excellent quality, and when they test the ingredients, ‘the test agrees with what is on the tag. In addition, Purina provides consult ants to help on the farm. And at their research farm they conduct more tests than any other company. "Purina continues to look at new ways to do things,” Jim said. “That's why we can continue to serve our farm customers so well.” * >? i-.v’•**-** DTrtIWHiySVATOR^NC. * QERMANSVILUE FEED & FARM SUPPLY, INC. 17130Bak«Qv*nRtt.
