Last month, club members assisted with the Keystone Interna tional Livestock Exposition lives tock judging contest. At the regu lar meeting held on OcL S, the club finalized plans for the national meeting and the start of the fall sausage sale. The “Halloween Bam Bash” featured a fresh, roasted pig, and hot, ham and bean soup, various other refreshments, and a DJ. Approximately 150 students and friends attended the annual social. This month, members of the club left Thursday, Nov. 9 for the 76th annual National Block and Bridle Club meeting in Louisville, Ky., which was held through that Sunday. This year’s national meet ing was hosted by the University of Kentucky and was in conjunction with the North American Interna tional Livestock Exposition. The meeting was especially exciting for Penn State B&B mem bers as the club’s published annual yearbook (Little I catalog) placed first, and the scrapbook placed fifth. Our very own Dr. Harold Harps ter was elected National B & B secretary. The national meeting featured touts in the Louisville area, nation al competitions, social events. The semiformal gives everyone a chance to relax and unwind Hfefore starting on final exams the following week. All seniors gra duating in December will be able to give their farewells to the club at our last meeting of the semester on Nov. 30.
