When a call is answered, an automated attendant will give the caller a' menu in which to choose the desired department. After choosing the depart ment, a second menu will give a choice of people and telephone extension numbers. If the caller knows the extension number of the person they are trying to reach, they may enter the 4-digit number at any time and the call will go to that person. The new system also has voice mail. This will allow clients to call at any time and leave a message, ask a ques tion, or register for a program. “You’ll never get a busy signal. With the old system, sometimes a client had to try for hours to get a line into the building. This new system will allow us to better serve the people of Frederick County,” said Fultz.
