The selection of two award-winning prog rams will be made by the Southern Regional Innovations Committee in Tulsa, Oka., on Aug. 15. “This is a tremendous honor for a small state like Maryland to be in the top 10. I think it clearly demonstrates that die Maryland agri cultural community plays a strong leader ship role in helping to clean up the ground water and streams of our state.” Riley said. Under Maryland’s Nutrient Management Certification and Licen sing Program, the Maryland Department of Agriculture certifies qualified members of the private sector to join Cooperative Extension Service consultants as nutrient management providers.
