The 1994 Wayne County junior Holstein dairy show was held at the Wayne County Fair grounds, with 84 head judged by Robert Kauffman, from Eliza bethtown. In the Holstein show, the grand champion cow was a senior 3-year-old shown by Dan Con logue, of Con-Acres in Pleasant Mount The reserve grand champ ion was shown by Shelly Wood mansee, of Jericho Dairy, in Lake Como. Theron LaTourette, of Hones dale, showed the junior champion and the grand champion Holstein bull. David Harvatine, of Thompson, showed the reserve junior champion. In the junior colored breed shows, the judge was Ronald Trostle, of Red Lion. He placed SI head of Ayrshire, Brown Swiss, and Jersey cattle, and also judged showmanship. Ron Curtis wa&grand champion showman, while Jacob Chyle was reserve grand champion, both receiving a show halter. In the Ayrshire show, Jennifer Pruss, of Lake Ariel, showed the senior and grand champion, and the reserve senior and reserve grand champion. The junior champion was shown by Matt Pruss, reserve junior champion, while the reserve junior champion was showed by Jennifer Eroh. There was one entry in the Brown Swiss junior show, with Darryl Marshal, of Honesdale, showing an intermediate calf. In the Jersey breed, the senior and grand champion was a 4-year old cow shown by Ron Curtis, of Waymart. He also showed the reserve senior and reserve grand champion, as well as the junior champion. Shelly received an award spon sored as the Grand Champion of the show and received a plaque award from Sire Power, Inc., Tunkhannock. The Reserve Senior Champion Award went to the Ist place Senior Two Year Old Cow also exhibited by Shelly Woodmansee. Shelly received the Reserve Senior Champion Award sponsored by Fanners and Mer chants Bank in Honesdale. This same cow was then selected as Reserve Grand Champion of the show and received an award sponsored by Northeastern Farm Credit, ACA, from Tunkhannock.
