A34-Lancaster Farming, Saturday, October 8, 1994 EMM Holds 25th Anniversary LITITZ (Lancaster Co.) For 25 years, EMM Sales and Service, Inc., has been serving customers with feed truck units. The com pany management and employees celebrated their history with an open house at their headquarters in Rothsville last Saturday afternoon. President Jack Conrad said the event was held to show apprecia tion for their customers over the years. Conrad started in business in 1969 and became a dealer for Walinga, Inc., in 1974. In 1976 the first bulk tank feed trucks were produced based on the market needs in this area. Business has increaced each year and according to Walinga’s anniversary newsletter (Walinga’s 40th anniversary happened to be the same year as EMM’s 25th anniversary.) EMM has been responsable for many “firsts” in the Walinga units and features. When customers had a need in the northeastern part of the USA, that need was turned into a unit to be manufactured by Walinga. Of the units produced from the years 1966 through 1993, EMM’s activi ty contributed to 8.5 percent of the total unit numbers sold by Walinga. Right now, produc tion is sold out for five or six months. Three years ago, a new alumi nan body was developed that has done well EMM’s related to agri culture through their customers who serve agriculture. At the open house, special service awards were presented to two employees who have been with the company for the 25 years. They are Dick Houser and Dick Conrad. The com- pany handles all sales on the east coast and has exported five units to Puerto Rico.
