The Speers milk 65 registered Holsteins with a herd average of 23,000 pounds. Grand champion Kandi is an excellent 90 and has an estimated index of 22,526 pounds of milk, 967 fat, and 739 protein. Another Speer cow in the same family is an Excellent 91. Judge Bowen chose Globe-Run CB Topgun Oslo, a junior 3-year old as reserve grand champion. Owned by Lory Ann Baker, she was sired by Globe-Run Warden Topgun. Judge Bowen said it was a very good quality show. He said he always likes coming to the Hun tingdon County Fair because of its' nice facilities. Earlier in the Holstein show, Danielle J. Mummah earned junior champion with Mu-Ke Lin coln Millie, a winter calf sired by Hanoverhill Lincoln-ET. John Andrew Foster HI won reserve junior champion with Globe-Run Lindy Bubbles, sired by Townson Valiant Lindy-ET. When selecting junior champion for the Open Show for Huntingdon County par ticipants, Foster’s cow won junior champion and Jim and Kim Grove won reserve junior Champion with their fall yearling Autumn- View A-Star, sired by Madawaska Aerpsiar. In the Ayrshire show, John Reed Rodgers walked away with all top honors except reserve junior champion. Rodgers’Plum Bottom Evan R, a 4-year-old, won grand champion while Morrow Preferred Lou 4th, a 5-year-old, earned reserve grand champion. Rodgers’ Plum Bottom Lovely Rel-ET, a fall yearing earned junior champion here as well as grand champion of the Mifflin County Youth Fair Open Ayrshire Show held the week before. Mike Brant earned reserve junior champion with his Ayrshire Rushing Springs Pearlman Marci a, a fall calf sired by Ardrossan Albi’s Pearlman. In the Brown Swiss Show, Monica J. Goshom won grand champion with Old Mill dedica tions Daylily, a 5-year-old sired by K Top Acres Dotson ET. A junior 2-year-old owned by Audrey J. Fox took reserve champion. The Guernsey Show saw Snid ers Homestead Farm taking both grand champion and reserve grand champion. Sniders Telestar Heaven took top honors (sired by Maurana Wis Telestar) while Sniders Laredo Delite (sired by Renwind Fayette Laredo) won the reserve position. Reserve junior champion also went to Snider Homestead Farm with their winter calf, but not before Misty Mea dows Farm was selected as junior champion with Liseter Farm Frans Sussie, sired by Spring Walk B.T. Frank. Jersey grand champion top hon ors went to J. Craig & Susan G. Wicker who showed Four Springs Silver Spots, sired by Mills Silver- ET. Kendy Gable took reserve grand champion with her senior 3-year-old Snider’s Sooners Sweetie, sired by Soldierboy Boomer Sooner OF CTF. During the junior show. Wickers’ summer yearling won junior champion. Four Springs Admiral Amber was sired by Bridon Master Admiral- ET, and Jennifer Kellerman won reserve junior champion with Four Springs Admiral Abbey sired by the same. Horizon Farm took grand champion of the Milking Shor thorn class with Three Springs Ashley. Reserve grand champion went to Mark A. Goshom and his junior 2-year-old Summit Vista Roscoe lan Twin, sired by Summit Vista Roscoe. At the junior show. Horizon Farm won both junior champion and reserve junior champoin with winter calf Hori zon Royal Shelly - EXP and Hori zon Sun Brook - EXP, respectively.
