04-Lancaster Farming, Saturday, Fabruary 27,1993 MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. Zinpro Corporation has intro duced 4-PLEX, an organic trace mineral program designed to max imize milk production and milk quality in high-producing, inten sively managed dairy herds. The program provides four of Zmpro’s individually researched and manufactured products ZINPRO® zinc methionine, CuPLEX® copper lysine, COPRO® cobalt glucoheptonate and MANPRO® manganese methionine. “This is the first time that any manufacturer has combined these four products in this manner,” said to Zinpro Corporation’s president, Michael Anderson. Chemsweep Under Way In Lackawanna, Wyoming Counties SCRANTON (Lackawanna Co.) Chemsweep a pesti cide disposal program for producers of farm, greenhouse, Christmas tree, and nursery crops is under way until March 31 in Lackawan na and Wyoming coun ties. Forms and informa tion are available at those county coopera tive extension offices for producers who have unwanted pesticides for disposal at no cost to them. The forms listing the unwanted pesticides must be completed by the producer and return ed to the regional office of the Pennsylvania De partment of Agriculture by March 31. After that date, producers submit ting completed forms will be notified of the disposal procedure. Producers should noi remove the pesticides from their present loca tion but they must com plete the disposal pro gram form and gel it to the regional office by March 31. This is a pilot pro gram financed from pesticide manufactur ers’ fees and there are no provisions to extend the deadline beyond March 31 or repeal the program in the future in Lackawanna and Wyo ming counties. The program does not include pesticides labeled for home owner use but does include farm or producer pesti cides whether or not crops arc currently be- ing grown. Further information and disposal forms are available from the Lackawanna County Cooperative Extension, 200 Adams Avenue, Scranton, PA 18503; Wyoming County Co operative Extension, Courthouse, Tunkhan nock, PA 18657; or the Pennsylvania Depart ment of Agriculture, Route 92 South, Tunk- Zinpro Introduces Dairy Mineral Program With 4-PLEX, dairy producers feed four of the most nutritionally significant trace minerals in a con venient feeding program. Univer sity and commercial research demonstrates that feeding the trace minerals in 4-PLEX improves milk production and quality, aids in combating hoof and leg problems, and enhances reproductive performance. “Dairy producers are pushing to reach the genetic potential avail able from selecting better bulls. They’re also putting more nutri tional stress on their cows through the use of total mixed rations (TMRs) and more physical stress on them due to both production requirements and the demands of LEBANON VALLEY IMPLEMENT CO., INC. 700 E. In these chal lenged herds, the need for trace minerals is even greater,” said Dr. Bruce Johnson, Zinpro’s director of nutritional services. “Feeding 4-PLEX is the next logical step in nutrition for dairy producers, including those now benefiting from feeding ZINPRO zinc methionine. It’s the next step in advancing a herd’s milk pro duction and reproductive perfor mance,” Johnson said. “4-PLEX conveniently fits feeding prog rams for all milking strings, dry cows and replacement heifers.” The 4-PLEX program differs from other trace mineral packages because the four Zinpro products included are individually Contact your Gehl dealer for complete Rebates shown in U S funds Rebates listed are for cash or Standard Rate Gehi Financing sales with payments starting immediately Programs ma> vary by state or region Gehl Compan> reserves the nght to interpret modify or cancel these programs at any time without pnor nonce Rebates effective through March 31 1993 Stretch your equipment purchase dollars with Gehl Finance.
