Soft Molasses Cookies % cup butter 1 cup baking dark molasses. 1 cup sugar 2 eggs, well beaten 4 cups flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking soda (combine with buttermilk) 3 /« cup buttermilk 2 teaspoons ginger 2 teaspoons cinnamon Heat and stir molasses and butter in saucepan over low heat until butter melts. Add sugar and eggs. Mix well. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Drop onto coo kie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar or brush with beaten egg. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Do not blanch, Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, stir every 10 minutes, Cool and place into containers. Freeze. Husk corn and remove silk. Wash. Cut tip ends from kernels. Scrape out pulp. Add Vt teaspoon salt and 1 % cups boiling water to each pint of corn. Boil 3 minutes. Pour hot into hot jars leaving 1 -inch headspace (pint jars only). Cap and process in pressure canner for 85 minutes at 10 pounds pressure.
