Judge Steve Weaver, Peoria, Illinois, evaluated 57 cattle at the 1991 Southern National Angus Open Show in Rome, Georgia. Among the 41 heifer entries, Star Dust Margarita 070 won grand champion laurels. The April 1990 daughter of Le Bus Skyline is owned by Heather Hough, Deer Lodge, Tennessee. The grand win ner first topped the junior division. Reserve grand champion heifer laurels were presented to Lindsay Waldrop, Winston, Georgia, for her senior champion female. The heifer is Circle G Elena 227 X, a December 1989 daughter of R&J Taurus 1186. Among the 16 bull entries, Harvey won grand champion laurels for owners Star Dust Farm, Sunbright, Tennessee; Harry Weining, Shelbyville, Kentucky: and Till Top Angus, Areola, Virgi nia. The bull first topped the senior division and is an October 1989 son of Brost Power Drive. The reserve grand champion banner was presented to B&J Eclipse of HY 2098, the reserve senior champion entry. A January 1989 son of S C R Lone Star 411, the bull is owned by H.B. Walters & Son, Versailles, Kentucky: Hicks & Yeary, Midway, Ken tucky; and Billy Hawkins, Ash camp, Kentucky. In other female competition, the reserve senior champion was H A Nicolyn 449 owned by Three Bar D Ranch, Newberry, Florida.
