NCGA Applauds Starch-Based Utensil Study ST. LOUIS, Mo. The National Com Growers Associa tion (NCGA) said it “applauds McDonald’s” for its consideration of starch-based eating utensils. NCGA, with more than 25,000 members in 45 states, is a leader in promoting new uses for com pro ducts. It has actively worked on behalf of com starch-based biode gradable plastics.
