The 1990 Wayne County Holstein Club Milk, Butterfat and Protein Production Contest for Wayne County Junior Holstein members was conducted recendy. The award winners were announced at the Wayne County Holstein Club Annual Meeting and Banquet which was held at the Belmont Fire Hall, near Pleasant Mount, PA. Awards were presented to: Car rie Bryant, Honesdale for high 2-year-old cow for milk produc tion at 19,103 lbs., and protein production at 610 lbs.; Emily Bryant, Honesdale for high 2-year-old cow for butterfal pro duction at 720 lbs.; Carrie Bryant, Honesdale for high 3-year-old cow for milk production at 25,278 lbs.; and protein production at 797 lbs.; Carly Soden, Slarrucca for high 3-year-old cow for bultcrfat production at 767 lbs.; Carrie Bryant, Honesdale, for high 4-year-old cow for milk produc tion at 20,772 lbs. and protein pro duction (tie) at 634 lbs.; Jason Soden, Starrucca for high 4-year old cow for butterfat production at 803 lbs., and protein production (lie) at 634 lbs.; Jessica Chyle, Pleasant Mount for high 5-years and-over cow for milk production at 24,751 lbs., and protein produc tion at 755 lbs.; and Anna Rut ledge, Equinunk for high 5-ycars and-over cow for bultcrfat produc tion at 801 lbs. Each of the winners received a plaque award sponsored by the Wayne County Holstein Club. All of the winning records have been forwarded to the Pennsylvania Holstein Association, Stale Col lege, for further competition in the Pennsylvania Junior Holstein Milk, Buttcrfat and Protein Pro duction Contest. Winners in the statewide con test will be announced at the Annual Junior Holstein Conven tion of the Pennsylvania Holstein Association, in February, 1991, at Reading. Meets
