The honor was presented at the annual Bucks County 4-H Achievement Night ceremony on November 10. For eight years, Moyer has helped the 4-H embryology school program by providing eggs and technical information. This year, more than 3,000 Bucks County students have observed the incu bated eggs hatch into chicks in their classrooms. Through the service of Moyer’s Hatchery, many young people are able to actively participate in the 4-H program. The 4-H embryolo gy project is often incoiporated in the science curriculum for the students. The Bucks County Friend of 4-H Award is given annually to an outstanding supporter of the 4-H program who is not a 4-H leader. Wayne County 4-H Achievement Night The 1990 Wayne County 4-H Achievement Night was held recently at the Pleasant Valley Grange Hall. The “1990 Outstanding 4-H Girl” was Holly Weist from the Laurella 4-H Community Club and the “1990 Outstanding 4-H Boy” award went to co-winners, Dave Jonas, from the Cold Springs-Rileyville 4-H Ag Club and Mike Mang, from the Bethany 4-H Ag Club. Steve Reed, coach of the Way ne County Hunter Education Shooting Sports Team, presented an informative program about this year’s state champion team and about their trip and participation in the National Hunter Education Shooting Championship in Grena da, Mississippi. Team members were introduced and 4-H certifi cates of achievement were awarded to Nathan Cries, Milan ville (Calkins 4-H Ag Club), Matthew Yerkes, Milanville (Calkins 4-H Ag Club), Joshua Racht, Waymart (Chaps and Breeches Horse and Pony Club), George Waters, Jr., Waymart (Chaps and Breeches 4-H Horse and Pony Club), and Dan Gustaf son (formerly of Tyler Hill and the Calkins 4-H Ag Club), now living in Wyoming.
