MADISON, Wis.— The board of directors of Livestock Conser vation Institute (LCI) approved several resolutions at the LCI annual meeting held April 3-5, 1990, in Louisville, KY. The Board recommended that LCI establish itself as a coordinat ing point for the animal product industry, to exchange information on food safety issues, and generate understanding of challenges each group in the chain faces, in an effort to generate appropriate responses to food safety assurance issues. In addition, that LCI devel op and promote educational pro grams for implementation of qual ity assurance for the animal pro duct industry.
