At the annual meeting of the NCFC in San Diego in January, “Business Cooperatives and Youth” received first place in the educational materials category of the Cooperative Education Fair. According to Carol Buckhout, PAFC executive director, “to be recognized at the national level for this type of publication is truly an honor. As we educate youth across Pennsylvania and the Northeast about cooperative business princi ples, we can be proud that we are using a top-notch educational tool.” The Pennsylvania Association of Fanner Cooperatives is an edu cational organization and trade association that promotes the cooperative way of doing busi ness.
