DS-lancaster Fanning Saturday, April 22,1989 Ford New Holland Interlocks Seatbelt With Engine NEW HOLLAND (Lancaster) Ford New Holland has intro duced an exclusive new skid-steer loader feature that promotes prop er operating procedures. The “operator restraint system” is a sequence system to interlock the seat and seatbelt into the engine start circuit and boom and bucket hydraulic circuits. The operator must be in the seat with the seatbelt fastened before the engine will start and the boom and bucket hydraulics will operate. It is standard on all Ford New Hol land skid-steer loader models. That’s all there is to it.” “That’s really the proper mode for operating any slcid-steer load er: in the seat with your seatbelt fastened,” Sauber says.
