Dacambtr 24,1988 »' * ' ' Franklin County Extension Dairy Day CHAMBERSBURG (Franklin) The annu al Franklin County Extension Dairy Day will be held on Wednes day, January 4, 1989 at Kauffman’s Communi ty Center. According to Extension Dairy Agent, Philip Wagner, program topics will include bovine smoatotropin, calf and heifer manage ment, milking equip ment and mastitis update, and a panel of four dairymen relating their experiences with sprinkler systems for cow cooling. Extension specialists from Univer sity Park include Dr. Jud Heinrichs and Steve Spencer. Keynote speaker for the somatot ropin topic will be Dr. Laurence Muller, PSU Professor of Animal Science. Panel particip ants include Dale Rice, Chambersburg; Roy Bieseckcr, Waynesbor o; Kenneth Schoenberg, Shippensburg; and Ger ald J. Reichard, Waynesboro. Twenty-four agri business firms will co sponsor the educational event and have exhibits and representatives pre sent Area dairymen are invited to come at 9 a.m. to visit the exhibits with the formal prog ram beginning at 9:30 sharp.
