Looking For Historic Dairy Farms SYRACUSE, NY How long has your family dairy farm been in existence? One hundred years? Two hundred years? The American Dairy Association and Dairy Council (ADADC) is look ing for the oldest family run dajry farms from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. If your farm is chosen, you will be honored at the 29th Annual Meeting of the American Dairy Association and Dairy Council. Willard Scott, ADADC’s current spokesperson is planning to be at the event to personally congratulate and award each farm family. Also, a slide presentation featuring your dairy “through the years” will be shown at the meeting to show your farm’s proud history and heritage. Present owner of dairy farm must be related, through family tie, to the original farm owner. 2. Farm must presently be a dairy farm. 3. One dairy farm from each of three states. New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania will be recognized and chosen to receive an award at the American Dairy Association and Dairy Council’s Annual Meeting. After the winning farms are chosen a photographer will visit the farms and a short presentation regarding the history of the farm will be presented at the annual meeting. ADADC’s annual meeting will take place February 22, 1989 at the Sheraton in Liverpool, New York. The ADADC is a milk promotion association representing dairy farmers from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
