March closed 1-1/2 cents higher at $1.95. Activity today was choppy as com seemed to follow gains ana losses in the soybean pit. Long liq uidation and position evening in front of tomorrow’s USDA report kept prices lower throughout most of the session along with news that Taiwan’s tender for 500,000 MT of US com will be delayed. ACRES SOYBEAN UPDATE: Soybeans settled from 7 to 10 cents higher near the close. A late rally and new contract highs in soyoil provided the impetus for beans to rally.
