Fred King, Deputy Secretary of Agriculture, began his comments. “Fairs prom ote the state’s number one indus try,” he went on to explain. He was speaking to the Out standing Farm Families of Berks County and their guests last week as they gathered at the Fleetwood Grange Hall, Fleetwood, Berks County, for the annual Kickoff Celebration and Awards Banquet of the 1987 Reading Fair. She is currently a freshman at Albright College, and a member of the Berks County Sheep and Lamb Club. The Outstanding 4-H Boy is Heath Fisher, age 18. Heath is a son of Jon and Jean Fisher, Rl, Robesonia, and will be a freshman at Penn State this fall. A 4-H mem ber for nine years, his major pro jects included goats, sheep, and gardening.
