One of the major items on the agenda for the meeting was the election of a new president. Lee Barber from lowa was elected president by a narrow margin of 13 votes over Clifton Alexander from Texas. Three directors were also elected for three year terms. They are: Raybon Bayliss, Tennessee, Pete Vanderham, California, and Harold Jensen, Kansas. Seven teams participated in an obstacle course of Olympics with the victory going to a team known as “The Big Ten.” Also included on the program was Pat Leimbach who gave a refreshing talk entitled, “The End O’ Way.” Leimbach spoke of a typical farm wife and the knowledge she has of backing a tractor polling a truck and fetching parts for her husband.
