BY BARBARA RADER Butler County Correspondent CLARION Teresa Mane Gawrey was recently crowned the 1986 Clarion-Venango County Dairy Princess. Gawrey, 20, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gawrys, Titusville. She was crowned at the pageant that was held in the center of the Clarion Mall and is the fourteenth princess to represent area as dairy princess. Also selected as Miss Congeniality, she is a 1984 graduate of Titusville High School and presently attends the Barron College of Penn State University in Erie, majoring in speech com munication and education. In addition to her activities in 4- H, public speaking, concert and track, Gawrys enjoys horseback riding and bicycling. She also helps on her family’s 60 cow farm. Stephanie Reed was selected as first alternate dairy princess. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Reed, Emlenton. Presently she is a senior at Allegheny Clarion Valley High School. Following graduation she plans to attend college and major in mathematics. She is a member of the National Honor Society, student govern ment, and various sports. Reed’s °L_, hobbies include all sports and owns seven Holsteins. Reigning as second alternate is Mary Catherine Frederick. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Frederick of Shippensville. Frederick will graduate in 1987 from Keystone Junior Senior High School and plans to attend California College of Arts and Crafts. Active in sports, she also serves on student council, year book and her church’s youth group. When not involved with her 25 Brown Swiss, she enjoys all types of sports and horseback riding. Four Dairy Miss contestants were chosen to assist the newly crowned dairy princess during the coming year.
