U*t Supper mural (Continued from Page B 18) She says she held the old com munion cloth on her lap and “put gold pins in the row so I wouldn’t get mixed up.” This painstaking procedure was repeated for each of the murals. Mrs. Eddinger started her task in July and had completed the five murals by Christmas despite several battles with the flu. “I had the flu a couple times but I kept on working,” she noted. And the best part of crocheting the murals? “Getting it done,” says Mrs. Eddinger with absolutely no hesitation and a quick laugh. Joan Alter, Mrs. Eddinger’s daughter with whom she lives, says her mother has always crocheted, but began in earnest when she retired from a garment factory. She has crocheted various doilies and bureau scarves, aprons and pockets, tablecloths, and even Barbie doll items. She is presently engrossed in another project for Rev. Piper, a crocheted canopy for abed. Mrs. Alter says her mother seldom accepts money for her efforts. According to Rev.
