Recognized for being a member of Inter-State for 25 years was Jonas S. Esch and Samuel and Sarah Stoltzfus. Receiving recognition for being a member of Inter-State for 50 years was the Benjamin dark family. Inter-State meeting slated SOUTHAMPTON, Pa. - The Lykens Valley Local of Inter-State Milk Producers’ Cooperative District 7 will hold its annual dinner meeting Feb. 18 at 11-45 a.m. at the Killinger Grange Hall, Millersburg, Director Daniel L Martin announced. Guest speaker will be Robert M Dever, Inter-State assistant general manager. Cooperative District 7 covers Lebanon County, western I .an caster County and eastern Dauphin County PA Guernsey Breeders plan annual meeting WAYNESBORO - The Penn sylvania Guernsey Breeders have announced plans for their 55th annual meeting, on March 14-15, at the Quality Inn, Lebanon, PA. Scheduled for March 14 is a presentation by John R. Moulton, Director of Operations - FMBA Service at PA Farmers Association, on “Can the Guernsey Breed Survive Present Dairy Economics?”. The 55th Annual Awards Banquet is set for the evening of March 14 at 7:00. This banquet will feature adult and junior production awards, open and junior All-PA awards, PA Queen Contest and guest speaker, Dieter Krieg, Editor of PA Farmshine Magazine. There will also be an auction of Guernsey novelty items. March 15 has meetings planned by the Middle Atlantic Guernsey Sires Meeting (MAGS) and the PA Jr. Guernsey Breeders’ Association. A tour to the Lebanon Valley Farms, Robert B. Smith Family, AnnviUe. The eight Blue Halter Calf Sale and Annual Meeting Bred Heifer Sale will start at 1:30 on March 15. Any youth purchasing an animal in the calf sale for youth projects will receive a 10 percent discount.
