Part of the savings, he noted, resulted from the fact that the facility was built to carefully drawn specifications, with none of the on-the-spot negotiations' and changes that often drive up the cost of construction. “We knew exactly what we were going to do,” said Bixler. “There were no major changes or add ons.” The consulting work, he added, was well worth the time, effort and money it cost. “It’s worth the money just to know where you’re going,” Bixler added.
