Penn's Agri-Women elected new officers during their annual meeting held in con junction with the state Women in Ag day on Oct. 15. Jean Beck, Hamburg, was elected to fill the office of secretary of PAW. Other officers of the state-wide women's organization are president, Joyce Hershey, Cochranville; vice-president Renee Bates, New Alexandria; and treasurer, Ethel Gross, Manchester. Also during their meeting, the group discussed suggestions for distributing leftover copies of The Farming Game. Lancaster Society 7 Lancaster Society 7 recently held its 64th anniversary meeting at the Leacock Presbyterian Church. Society 7 served salads at Christmas in October at the Farm and Home Center on Oct 21 Several members will attend the County Convention on Nov 2. The nominating committee submitted the names of Miriam Keneagy for secretary and Mildred Hersh for treasurer. Debbie Harmsh, ventriloquist, and her puppets, Huggie Huggums, Coconut and Kelly, entertained the group with a Christian program.
