824-Lancaster Farming, Saturday, August 31,1985 SUNBURY - Eighteen 4-H club members exhibited their swine projects and competed for ribbons in the Central District 4-H Swine Show and Sale held recently at Keister's Middleburg Auction in Middleburg. The 245-pound grand champion was shown by Ray Knecht, Columbia County, and was pur chased by Hatfield Packing Company, Hatfield, for $3 per pound. The reserve grand champion was shown by Vicki Wertz, Nor thumberland County. Allen Clark Meats, Paxinos, purchased the 265- pound animal at a price of $2 per pound. Thirteen buyers supported the 4- H sale by purchasing the animals at prices which were well over market price. Buyers of the 18 f Lancaster Society 34 Lancaster Society 34 met recently at the home of Sheila Mull with Deb Althoff as co-hostess.» The program for the meeting was on child abuse and molestation.
