Inc. holds district meeting Fred Butler (right), president of the board of directors of the Middle Atlantic Division of Dairymen, Inc., greets Albert Mellinger at the District 14 annual meeting of Dairymen, held Thursday evening in Gordonville. Mellinger, along with Phares Hurst, Leola, serve as district directors of the dairy cooperative. Division manager John I. Collins Jr. was also on hand at the meeting and reported that Dairymen has "done a lot of things to meet the upcoming challenges in the dairy industry. He predicted a bright future for the cooperative and an increase in Dairymen production and membership back to 1983 levels. Also during the meeting, district fieldman Eugene Frey explained the cooperative's equity program to the attending producers and reminded them that Dairymen is the only dairy cooperative in the U.S. that pays back on a five-year schedule.
