Butch captured first place in dividual honors in the contest. Robert Bell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bell Mohnton and a Twin Valley member, placed second. Mike Devine of Honey Brook placed fourth to round out the Twin Valley team. Other Twin Valley members were John Foreman and Sue Wilson. The poultry judging contest required students to place two classes of laying hens. A class of four dozen eggs was placed with students indicating what faults they had found with each dozen. Contestants took a written test on egg quality, incubation and brooding of the chicks, and raising poultry.
