Thirty-eight un dergraduates from the College of Agriculture volunteered their time to highlight the College and its programs. Among them was Dorothy Meyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. i rank T. Meyer of Lancaster, who is a sophomore majoring in Agricultural Science at Penn State. She talked to 4-H’ers, members of FFA and other high school students and their parents about careers open to college graduates Del. Horse Expo FELTON, Del. The Delaware 4-H Horse Advisory Committee and the University of Delaware Cooperative Extension Service will sponsor a Horse Expo on Saturday, February 2, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Lake Forest High School in Felton, Del. Purpose of the educational event is to provide visitors with in formation on the many aspects of horsemanship, equine science and related subjects. During the Expo, emphasis will be placed on how horses provide the opportunity to explore a hobby, career, recreation, physical fitness and competitive sports events. Dorothy and other college volunteers offered information on associate, baccalaureate and graduate degree programs in the College of Agriculture. There will also be presentations on two specialty breeds, the Morgan and Arabian. Proceeds from the day-long event will benefit the Delaware 4-H horse program. Preregistration (January 25) is $5 for adults and $2 for those under 18. At the door tickets will cost $7 for adults and $3 for young people. In addition to the educational program there will be a sale of used tack and equipment; horse club, breed and commercial exhibits; arts and crafts contest on the theme “horse”; and a 4-H horse bowl contest.
