Forage crops can be produced on all types of land and are usually some of the most ef ficient feeds that can be fed to livestock. Proper fertilization will make greater utilization of forage lands. To Update Private Applicator Pesticide Certificate Many farmers have private applicator licenses to buy and apply restricted use pesticides to cropland, livestock and poultry buildings. These are usually issued for three years. A number of these will expire on Sept. 30, 1965. This means you will need to attend a meeting where current pesticide uses and recommendations are discussed and explained. By so doing, you can quality to receive an update training certificate which in turn will get you a license renewal. During the winter time, a number of meetings are held by Extension and agri-business. These are ideal times and places to receive your update training certificate. Dairy Days, Crops and Soils Day and Poultry Day are three such meetings. Don’t miss the opportunity to update your license before it expires.
