Snyder and his wife Jean are ac tive in tractor pulling, having received the Pennsylvania Super Stock Puller of the Year Award for 1983. In New York state they had first and second in the 5000 pound class for the same year as well as a second in both 9000 and 12,000 pound super stocks and a third in 7000 pound super stocks. Charles and Jean work both the Pennsylvania and New York circuits with three Ford tractors. In 1981 Jean was given the New York Super Stock Puller of the Year Award and in 1977 Penn sylvania gave them Dedication of the Year Award the highest award given in the Keystone State. Sixteen years of pulling with Ford tractors has given them a new view of the tractor business. Just sixteen months before World War II began in 1941, Charles S. Snyder started selling Ford tractors for his farm. Eight years later a 40 foot by 40 foot building was erected at the present location along Route 443. By 1951 it was necessary to add a 30 foot by 90 foot parts and show room which was satisfactory until 1968 when more shop space was constructed. Then, in 1975 additional office space was built on which was added to in 1981 and a year later more parts and shop space was needed. And in addition to all of this, there is a 50 foot by 96 foot storage building which is not connected to the main facility. Present plans call for no ad ditional building at last! Charles S.
