The building will be used for classes and laboratories m the plant and animal sciences as well as for student and Extension ac tivities such as horse shows, dairy’ exhibitions, and the annual fall Horticulture Show. Funds to build the Ag Arena must come from private sources, and to date, alumni and friends of the college have donated more than half the amount needed. To help support this drive, the faculty and staff of the college are sponsoring a massive beef bar becue prior to the Penn State-lowa football game on September 17. This will provide you with a simple tailgate meal and an opportunity to support the Ag Arena. Tickets, available for a $4.50 donation, must be purchased in advance. They are available through any County Extension Office or from Harry Carey at 104 Agr. A dm. Building, University Park, Pa. 16802. The barbecue will be held from 10:30 a.m. until kickoff in a tent adjacen* to the Meats Lab, just north of the stadium. The meal, which will be boxed and ready to take tailgating, will include a large beef barbecue sandwich and items similar to last year’s meal. Checks should be made payable to: The Ag Arena Fund. Additional tax deductible contributions will be welcome. J mSM • No Finance Charges • No Payments until March 15,1984* _ /.-- 1 “ TT-eg/.' •■ ■-? *• - V s »!sh /0!m
