The new operating unit resulted from the consolidation of the firm’s Jamesway and Oswalt divisions. Headquartered in Fort Atkinson, Wise., activities of Butler Livestock Systems will be directed by Larry D. Hayes, president, and John C. Neill, vice president of sales and marketing. Hayes for merly served as president of Jamesway and Neill as president of Oswalt. The fancy daughter of Kingsway Elevation Very sold for 12900 to William and Elizabeth McFadden, of Grampion. Ray Claypoole of Worthington consigned the second-high selling cow, Oayholm Valiant Aquarius. A daughter of S.W.D. Valiant, this decision to make the move in volved substantial discussion and planning. Since the markets served, the product offerings, and the management are so closely allied, it makes sense for us to combine efforts and streamline our entire process. We have ex cellent dealer networks in both divisions, and the merger will allow them greater fleixiblity to provide an entire system approach to the dairy, hog and feedlot markets. The directors of the Jefferson County Holstein Club stated their sale average was improved from last year but ob viously reflects the current cattle market. The high quality cattle offered for sale were selected from farms in Armstrong, Clarion, and Jefferson counties.
