350 gather for Lehigh County FFA banquet SCHNECKSVILLE - Some 350 members, parents, guests and supporters of the Lehigh County FFA gathered last Saturday night for the chapter’s 11th annual awards banquet at the Lehigh County Vo-Tech School. Following chapter tradition, the family-style meal featured student-raised products and other foodstuffs grown in Lehigh County. Highlight of the awards presentations was the honoring of those members of the chapter who were selected as the outstanding “Star” participants during the past year’s program. Among these were: Star Greenhands - Leslie Lazarus, agricultural production; Lori Rohrbach, floriculture; Stephen Ortiz, horticulture. Star Chapter Farmers - Brian Dietrich, agricultural production; Dawn Bloch, floriculture; and Greg Kloss, horticulture. Star Agribusiness - Cathy Fiske, agricultural production; and Debra Osika, floriculture. The state officers also presented Keystone Degrees to three chapter members Cheryl Bobey, Gail Schaffer and Michael Koehler. The program also featured the presentation of chapter degrees. Honorary Chapter Farmer Degrees to honor their support of the chapter went to William Albert, Dr. Karl Dutt, Joseph Kach, Herbert Katz, Tony Maz ziotta, Donald Fob, James Snell and Joseph Smar.
