Gail, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Clair Graybill of Lan caster, was raised and worked on her parents farm winch mcluded 50 acres of potatoes. The Grand Champion Pair of Lambs, exhibited by Susan fireminger, Lehigh County, was purchased by Haftl Meats, Allentown. The Pair of Lambs weighed 182 pounds and was sold at $1.75 per pound. Marlyn Stroh, Montgomery County, showed the Reserve Grand Champion Lamb and was sold to Southeast Farm Credit, Silver sale, at $1.40 per pound. The lamb weighed 94 pounds. The Reserve Grand Champion Pair of Lambs, shown by Ruth Grim, Lehigh County, weighed 190 pounds. It was purchased by Danny George, George’s Foodlmer, for $1.20 per pound. The Champion Heavy Weight lamb was purchased by Berks-Lehigh Farm Credit, Fogelsville, for $1.15 per pound. The lamb weighed 140 pounds and was exhibited by Joshua Gnm, Lehigh County. The Reserve Champion Heavy Weight lamb, weighing 135 pounds was sold at $1.25 per pound to Chapman Equipment Center, Wescosville. It was owned by Kathy Moss, Bucks County. The Reserve Champion Light Weight lamb was purchased by Lester Wagner, Pen Argyl, for $1.35 per pound. The lamb weighed 96 pounds and was exhibited by Geoffrey Harvey, Bucks County. The Reserve Champion Medium Weight lamb, weighing 114 pounds was sold at $2.10 per pound to Pat- Ric Farm, New Ringgold. It was owned by Andy Wagner, Nor thampton County. The sale, as was the show on Friday, was conducted by the Agricultural Extension Service, with the county agents of the six counties in charge. The auctioneer was Ralph Zettlemoyer. Average price per pound of the steers with the Grand Champion included was $.98 per pound, without the top, the average was $.92 per pound. Last year’s averages were $.95 and $.91. Average pnce per pound for the lambs with the Grand Champion included was $1.22 per pound, without the top, the average was $1.15 per pound. Last year’s averages were $l.ll per pound, without the top, the average was $l.OO per pound. The total sales of the 32 steers in the sale were $34,720.70. The total sales of the 64 lambs m the sale were $8,138.35.
