Fancy Flock Flyers sell first place shawl for record price BY SHEILA MILLER FARM SHOW - The Fancy Flock Flyers claimed first place in the second Farm Show Sheep to Shawl contest, held last Wednesday evening. Judges Jean Woodward, Mount Airy, Md., and Florence Hall, Keymar, Md., selected the team’s buck-grey natural white shawl as the winner out of ten entries. While spectators looked on, sheep were shorn, wool was carded and spun, and a natural fiber shawl was created the fastest time just over an hour. The Flyers also had the first place shawl at the Lebanon County Farm-City Week contest held last fall.
