Daum, professor of agricultural engineering, president: Dr Marcia C. 4-H team journeys to Louisville YORK The York County 4-H Livestock Judging Team, representing Penn sylvania, recently par ticipated in the National 4-H Livestock Judging contest. The contest was held m Louisville, Kentucky in conjunction with the North American International. There were 140 4-H members representing 35 Afferent states that par ticipated in the contest Each member judged five classes of beef, three of swine and two of sheep. Each member also York livestock judging team presented five sets of oral reasons. In the individual species of beef, Pennsylvania placed 15th oveiaii Brenda Walter, Airville placed 11th with a score of 325, Laurie Dobrosky, Glen Rock, was 37th, Leßoy Bowles, Red Lion, was 104th and Chris Sunday, York, placed 110th In swine judging the team placed 13th Chris Sunday placed 13th individually with a score of 224, Laurie Dobrosky was 491 h, Bowles was 76th and Brenda Walter was 87th Lancaster County, all directors: C.M. Skillington, Elk County, immediate past president; and directors, Paul N. Reber, Montgomery County: Francis C. Turner, area community resource development agent stationed in Bradford County; Harold R. Bock, Clearfield County; and Thomas B. Jurchak, Lackawanna County. Thomas E. Walker, Washington County, also a director, was not present when the photo was taken. - Beppler, assistant professor of agricultural ex tension, president-elect: W. Paul Anderson, associate professor of dairy science, secretary; and Carroll L. Howes, associate 4-H youth director, treasurer. In Sheep Judging the team placed 3rd overall Laurie Dobrosky placed 14th, Chris Sunday was 15th, Brenda Walter was 25th and Leßoy Bowles 59th respectively. The team placed Bth in reasons with Brenda placing 17th, Laurie 24th, Chris 40th and Leßoy 68th. When all points were talked Laurie, place 26th, Brenda was 33rd, Chris was 35th and Leßoy placed 88th Chris, Laurie and Brenda then combined their scores and tooK 9th place team in the overall contest with a score of 1963 with Minnesota winning the contest with a score of 2065.
